Rescue Horses

We believe that all horses should get an equal chance at a great life no matter where they come from. That is why we work with reputable rescues to train and adopt “unwanted” horses. We start by evaluating each horse so we can see what their specific training needs will be and build our plan for them.

Available Horses

We do not currently have any rescue horses in training or being evaluated with us. Keep checking back for updates as we are always in contact with rescues.

Citrine

Citrine came to us freshly weaned, terrified of everything, and completely unhandled. This filly is grade, but obviously bred well as she’s put together just perfect. Two months after coming here, she was halter broke, confident, and could even carry a tiny pony saddle.

“Kid”- Thepennsylvaniakid

Kid is an off-track Thoroughbred from Pennsylvania foaled in 2013. He had 3 starts in his racing career but only won just over $5,000 so he was retired shortly after those starts. Kid came to us severely malnourished and with a horrible case of rain rot. Once his skin was healed and up to a healthy weight, he started training in our program. Kid learned to slow down, relax, and carry himself in a healthier, rounder frame.

George

George is a 2016 cutting bred gelding, who was a breeding farm reject. He was snagged by a local rescue as a weanling before he was sent to a low-end auction. He has grown into a sweet, attractive horse. He was an excellent horse to train and work with. We were impressed with his willingness to learn and beautiful movement. George’s adopters were excited to start showing him in all around events.
